LoPro on EdgePro studs

Hi,

So I got the new studs, but they gave me the new studs for EP, and the part between the allan head and the screwy part is smaller than the old studs.

Will the studs hold?

Re: LoPro on EdgePro studs

I put a low pro on my 7V which had an edge and it seems to be fine so far. I just changed trems not studs.

Re: LoPro on EdgePro studs

It had an edge or an edge pro?

Because the studs of Edge and LP are the same as far as I know...

Re: LoPro on EdgePro studs

You guys make no sense.
Let me rephrase my side of the thread:

1. I have a LP and by accident I broke one of the studs.
2. I ordered a pair of new studs, 2EL2-B. However, these are EdgePro studs, non-locking ones.
3. I am asking if the studs will hold properly the LP because the part that holds the knife edges is notably smaller in these non-locking studs.

Thanks

It'll work fine, but if you're not too sure you can always bring it back and say that it's the wrong one. The one you need is the one with the locking stud.

Re: LoPro on EdgePro studs

buddroyce: I can't. When I went to get them (which was troublesome to begin with) they told me "You can't replace them because it's small parts. So give us the exact model number."
So I'm stuck with it.

newbieguitarmaker: My USAC wasn't played for three weeks now. That's a long time. I don't have any studs to use in the meanwhile, what the hell I'm supposed to play?
The SV is just not the same

If I had any money left, I'd buy a stud from Rich. But I'm dead broke now.
- If anyone has a locking stud to spare me, please.. send me a PM..

well if you put them in and keep em in after awhile there is a good chance the hole for the stud will oval and the tuning stability will be shot, at least thats what rich says. Just i think its a pretty long time u need to keep em in

You're totally bumming me up man..

Argh. I'll try to see if I can scrape by to get the locking studs... it might take a while. If anyone can do me this huge favour... he will have my eternal gratitude.

I've got an Original Edge retro-fitted on my RG470 using Edgo Pro studs and it works ok.
