Lost STRING LOCK BLOCK : need a replacement urgently

Hi,

I have a Jem UV 777V. Recently, at a gig, my low 7th string broke and the STRING LOCK BLOCK fell out (that tiny little metal block that comes between the Lock Screw and the string on the lopro trem) while i was trying to replace the string. Since it is such a small component, I could not find it although I searched hard for it.

THere is NO WAY to get this component where I live; the sole dealer for Ibanez only scratched his head when I showed it to him and suggested that I try shoving a similar sized piece of metal between the String Lock Screw and the string. Needless to say I don't want to try this.

Please advice if there is any dealer (online or otherwise) that you know from whom I can source such a small part. I would sincerely appreciate any help in this regard as I have a gig coming up.

Thanks in advance and Best regards,
Anup Antony

[Edit]

Brian, over at Universal Jems ( http://www.universaljems.com/ ) came to my rescue and offered to send me one for free.
I don't know about you, but I just wish there were more people like him in the world

Thanks again Brian

Whoops! Yep... you're right. How did i manage to copy the wrong link?

Glad to point you in that direction... my local guitarists' pro shop stocks these, and they do indeed fit perfectly.

Re: Lost STRING LOCK BLOCK : need a replacement urgently

good day,

i just want to ask if a floyd rose string block would fit in a lo pro edge string block cavity. I need to replace the blocks on my lo pro edge because they have so many cracks.

I cant find a replacement part here in the philippines

Thanks
