Low pro trem drop into a floyd route?

Hey guys. I'm wondering if the Low Pro Edge Trem would drop into a Floyd Route? I mean I'm wondering if I could buy one for a guitar that has a floyd copy and drop it in by replacing the posts, etc, and not have to re drill anything? I don't mind taking out the old posts, but don't want to have to re drill, etc? I guess I'm wondering the spacing? Is it different on different guitars? I mean is a floyd copy different than a real floyd, and is the edge different than the others?

Really depends on the body. If it's an Ibanez--you've got a better chance of success.
If not, you'l have to do a little routing...but not too much.

Re: Low pro trem drop into a floyd route?

I was thinking of putting a low pro in a Jackson with a floyd copy.. But, I bet they won't fit.. Sucks, because this body is really cool and if I don't sell it, this would be the perfect guitar if it had the edge in it. or a real floyd. I know the real floyd will fit.. I think it will drop right in ..
