Lowering the Acition - And some buzz problems...

I have a Jem 7VWH. It plays smooth but i want to lower the action a bit. I have about 2.0mm in the 24th fret in the high E and low E strings. It feels fine to me and is confortable, but i want to lower it a bit to see if it works best for me.

The problem is that i have some buzzes here and there in the 1-5 frets. I've read in the Jemsite that buzz problems in the 1-12 ftrets is due to not enough neck bow. So, if i lower the action will i get the same buzz problems that i now have or will i get even more? In theory, the fret buzz will be the same and the action will be lower, right?

I can try it and check it out myself, but i wanted to ask you first.

Thanks,
Armindo Dias

Lowering the Acition

whenever you lower action, fret buzzing will increase. That is the reason why you want to adjus the truss-rod properly. The "relief" allows low action while removing the buzzing toward the nut... glen
