Luthier Suggestions for a Complex Project?

I'm considering some custom work and am looking around for luthiers that can handle some out of the ordinary ideas. If you are familiar with Dave Fiuczynski, I'd like to do a double neck fretless/fretted guitar similar to his Ibanez. I'm in New Jersey now, so any suggestions in the area or of high quality (Klein Electric-type quality) elsewhere in the continental US or Canada would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

My suggestion would be to work with someone local, or at least within reasonable driving distance.

If your project is very unique and different (and if you're very particular about how it turns out), you'll probably be much happier with the final result if you have more opportunities to review first-hand the work in progress.

Oh no, Devin, you're actually doing it?

Eh, e-mail me sometime, man, I'm curious to hear how this one actually is materializing in your head right now.

if you can bear to go abroad with it, brandoni guitars do quite a few oddball and retro guitars. just search for brandoni on google.
