Maintaining trem stud grooves?

My trem stays in tune very well for dives, but is a bit sharp after pull-up. As I understand it, this is due to a combination of bad knife edges/bad trem stud grooves. My knife edges look good, so I'm pretty sure it's the grooves. In fact, I'm almost certain of this, since the trem studs are made of a very soft metal that I've already managed to deform a little with the knife edges. Does anyone know how to clean up the grooves? Maybe you can file them? Is it easier to just buy new studs?

FYI, the trem is a TRS7 (don't judge me man ).

Thanks,
John
