Maximum Playability

I played my teacher's guitar the other day and it felt AMAZING. It was a Fender Strat with a Rosewood board, like my RG, but it felt much smoother, much easier to the touch. So I was wondering what you guys do/use to keep your fretboards feeling as best they can. What do you guys do for maximum feel and playability on your guitars?

If you already have a pro setup then maybe you just like the feel of strats better.
