Measuring string height - Practical ways??

What do you guys use for mesauring string heights while seting up. Especially individual string heights from the pickup poles?

Just a small accurate steel ruler where the measurements start right at the beginning of the ruler instead of a few mm's in like most cheap plastic rulers

I use the 1.5mm allen wrench for the trem post set screws to adjust my action and eye-ball the rest.

I use picks to measure the action etc..

nice METRIC ruler or calipers will do the trick.

It may not be the most accurate, but it is a good reference and it is quick.
