Mod Ideas Needed

Hey everyone.

I need some ideas for a mod that i might be doing to my guitar its just a small mod but it could be worth it.

I have the usual 2 control knobs (Volume, tone) but the tone is disconnected and its just a waste of space at the moment.

So i was thinking of what i can put there instead of the tone control to bring more functionality to my guitar.

My ideas are:

Kill switch
OR
Convert the pot to a push pull pot and use it as a coil tap for the humbuckers

So i would like to hear other suggestions of what i can put there, to bring new possibilities to my guitar.

Thanks

What kind of guitar is it? Depending upon how much you want to spend, you might want to put in a piezo system or maybe a black ice system.

Its an ETGuitars Custom when i ordered it from him i told him to disconnect the tone, but over time i've just started to despise the tone knob for not doing anything.

I don't really want to add a piezo since i think it could be a lot of stuffing around. I just want to use the current routing for the tone and just add something else there (that actually does something) .

i would keep the tone, but have a push/pull for the coil tap. but the emg afterburner is a cool mod, too.

Use it to hold a pencil

On a more serious note - I'd go with a killswitch - all the cool kids have 'em. Whats you're pickup config?

an Eject button! j/k
a push-pull pot would be neat but a killswitch is just as cool... really depends on how you plan on using either functions.
OooOoOOo how about a toggle switch for future LED mods?

I would do the push/pull set up like satch does.
Coil tap & high pass filter. I did that on my RG550.
Here is another thing you could try being you have
a H-S-H pickup config. How about using a push/pull
to get the front and rear pickups to come on. I'm gonna
do that on a RG770BS that I have.

Well, even though you already have you mind made up, I still think these are worth looking at.

Thanks sick-boy for that link, i think someone previously stated that the emg afterburner was a good mod. I would've put one of them in but i don't know how much they cost or where to buy them from.

Probably a local EMG dealer. I'm sure EMG has a link on their website that directs you to their authorized dealers.
