here it is, my RG270

fitted with Dimarzio/Ibz + Blue Velvet single pickups
blocked trem
sides, neck joint, headstock back/front and trem are black
the neck plate and logo is stainless steel

poorly clearcoated

has some ugly clearcoat scratches, gotta refinish the bitch.

Is that the look you were going for around the horns, and the controls? I think it looks really cool.

I also like the painted headstock.

uhm, its quite easy, if you have a korean made ibanez. those are actually finish layers. quite a few of them, around 5 or 7.

i didn't have to do anything, i just sanded horns down. ;D

rg462 it has to be a korean one, and an old one preferably, it's dipped in finish so much it's crazy.
i first wanted to make a transparent, but the wood on this one was so crappy that i rather sprayed the sides black. the bridge belt pin is bolted in something that was supposed to be a hole, but was actually a crack filled with glue and kit. pretty sucky.
yeah this effect is the easiest to achieve, but it looked so cool i didn't bother much.
