Monkey Grip & Lion Claw Mod

I want to have a money grip and lion claw cut into my RG350.

Is there anyone here that can do that for me, or know anyone that could?

And email address, so I can get a quote on how much it will cost to be done

Thanks

dont waste your money.. seriously

use your angst of wanting to have a real Jem as a way to fuel your hunger for getting better at playing the guitar and one day you will have enough cash to buy the guitar you want.

It will cost alot of cash to get what you want done me thinks.

but if you really must get it done why dont you contact one of the business located at the top of every jemsite page. They all do custom guitar work.

If you're in GA, you could talk to Sim's Custom Shop. They're in TN. GuitarGuru is further north in NJ.

I just registered my business where I'll be doing mods like this as well as making bodies and such. Give me a few weeks to get things squared away and if you're still looking to get this mod done I can do it. Just shoot me a PM so I'll have your name.

Go to projectguitar.com

They have instructions on how to do it yourself.

It is not that hard and probably cheaper to buy the tools and give it a go.

Agreed. Just get ahold of a template for the shape (maybe guitarcenter will let you trace it out on a piece of paper) and a good router and start cutting, though i would practice on some scrap wood first. A little fine sanding and some tung oil to seal the exposed wood (or just repaint the guitar) and your good to go.

Don't waste your time doing an amateur job yourself. Plus, you can keep your body original and retain any resale value.

Re: Monkey Grip & Lion Claw Mod

Kinda hard to believe Jems sell around here for under $1500 when they retail for $2,500 and msrp for $3,300. Kinda makes a new Jem a real bad investment doesn't it?

Let's see, buy a new Jem, or stock in pets.com? hmmmm
