My "Custom" Strat Finally Done!!

Well I finally finished my strat project Ive been working on for a while.. It started life out as a sorry looking red squire much like this:

And a new Warmoth neck, new set of pups, and a new paint job later it's looking like this:





Dont mind the upper right picture, Ive been playing for like an hour with it and my handprints are all over it so its just a smudge, I assure you the paint is flawless

What do you guys think?

Maple neck w/reverse headstock
YJM/hs2/hs3 pickups
Black wilkinson trem

what kind of pickups did you put in her?

some random EMG pups i got off of evilbay... they were real cheap and sound fantastic for the price!

Did you do the paint yourself? Looks like a pretty coarse metallic flake. I hear that is difficult to do well.

Yeah me and my dad both worked on the paint... Guess how much it cost total for the black, sparkle, and clear?

$18!!! haha beleive it or not...
