My Jem10's Neck

After scraping off the dirt, retuning it, cleaning and sanding the neck, i'm getting to a new chapter of making my new old Jem10 the beauty she's supposed to be.

The Neck (tudududuuh!)

The bow of the neck at the high e is deeper than the bow at the low e. Is there a way to fix that, is there something i can do? People say that it's a production error that should not occur on a Jem10, and therefore i should send the guitar or the neck back to Ibanez and ask for a new one. What do you guys think?

Something occurred to me yesterday while playing the guitar. At some notes and especially at combinations of different notes, something is resonating. It sounds like the guitar distorts acoustically, the tone dissapears immediately and i feel the guitar trembling a little.

First i thought it was something with the bridge, the springs in the back or the pick ups, but when i hold them tight i still hear and feel the resonances. Could that be the truss rod? The overall neck bow is too big.

I don't know what the rod looks like, but i think it's something with screw wire on one end. Could it be loose and resonating with certain frequencies?

You can try to adjust the truss rod a little at a time to see if it affects the neck bow.

If it's not spring resonance check to make sure your saddles are all tight. It could be truss channel resonance but that's usually just the D and G string.

There's a bit of space between every saddle, is there a way to get them to sit tight to each other?

Anyhow, if i can trust my ears on this (i'm not sure i can), i think the resonance is more to the neck-side than to the bridge-side. It does happen a lot on the G and D, but it also happens on higher strings.

I'm waiting for a truss-rod-ajust-thingie, because i don't have one (stolen with my Jem10 )-: ) I'm really wondering if it is the rod. I also hope the bow equals out a little when i reduce it.

You don't want the sddles tight to each other, they have to be able to independently adjust! They must be tight to the baseplate though. Any 7mm 1/4" drive [or whatever mm equivalent] socket will adust the truss rod.

Thanks guys!

Anything i have that's 7mm is too large to fit in the hole of the rod adjustment screw. :-/
Got one of those little waterpipes coming in soon tho! (-: I really hope that's it!
