My new rg550ex - why the lo-pro dont stay in "neutral"positi

I decided to buy a 550ex in galaxy black, and what can i say, it looks and sound incredible.
After spending days seting it up, following step by step the jemsite's instruction, I've noticed that the trem. don't stay in the neutral position, I mean, if I pull up it stays a little sharp; if I pull down...
The guitar is brand new, I inspected the trem. posts and they are perfect, so the edges of the trem.
So, in my very limited inglish, Im asking for help!
This is my very first Ibanez guitar, so this is my first experience with a Lo-Pro, I hope there's hope...:help:

My new rg550ex

welcome Merelitas,
this is the right place for these kind of problems, don't worry.

well, you got to deal with the springs claw's screws, that is those two big screws that hold the springs plate in the rear tremolo cavity. if the trem is tilt forward (tail up) you got to tighten the screws, if the trem is tilt bacward (tail down) you got to loosen the screws.
remember: a quarter or half turn a time, then retune.

good luck & let us know!

Thank's everybody.Actually, according to step1 in the setup section of this site, the trem angle is correcte.I know this is not a Jem guitar, but, since it has a lo-pro, I decided to follow the same procedure.
There's not stranges noises in the trem movement. So, after reading Rich's steps 3 and 4, I start crying; this guitar, my beautiful new Ibanez lo-pro equiped was made in 2000-2001, so I'm pretty sure that the "flat edge-bad posts" is the problem...
This is a very new guitar, so I'm a little reticent about mayor repairs in my beloved( this is, in fact, the only guitar I have) Should I have to forget about using the trem arm?The lo-pro was the main reason of my choise;
Should I consider to take some english lessons? Can I stop crying???

Have you locked the inserts inside the posts?
Is it new enough that the spring aren't worn in?
If so then give them a little time to "break in", even if it means playing slightly out of tune for a while.
Just don't panic and do something drastic.
The guys here know more about the lo-pro than Ibanez do, so you're in good company.

Steve

damn! well, it's true!

Merelitas (is this your real name? are you a girl?)
Steve is right, you gotta let the babe take her time and grow up a little bit. she gotta get used to be... used!
strung her up with cheapy strings and use the arm like Steve God Vai does, then get a fresh set of good strings, of course.
remember to give the nut pads a good clamp!

good luck & let us know!

ask them the guitar's serial number.
if it's F0xxxxx then she's a new series.

01' 01' and 02' all start F0xxxxxx, that's not going to help. Be specific, ask for the full serial #, then ask if it has the new posts in it, to which they'll probably reply, "what new posts?"

Ok,I feel better now!
Probably the guitar is just to new..., it has only2 months old...
So I'm going to let the time do his job, and try to be a little more relaxed.
Other thing: is it normal that the Powder Cosmo is start fading in the sadles just where my rh rests?
By the way my name is Pierre, merelitas is a surname... Thank's a lot!

ok Pierre,
you got it, the time will do the job.

hey but... finish fading after only two months? ow!
well yes, it's normal though, you just should remember to give the bridge a good wipe after you played, especially on those saddles (E,A,D i guess) where you rest the hand.

Yes, the Cosmo Powder is fading from the first week, only in the sadles, so I think the sadles and the rest of the trem are made with differents types of metal...Anyway I clean the guitar every time I stop playing, maybe this is a cause too...
The good news is that I was playing all this weekend and the guitar was much more stable , it stay pretty much in tune after several hours of torture...
