my stick done broke off - tremolo arm broken

hmm, i have this amusing problem. *i was playing one day and the arm on my edge trem broke off. *the sad part is that it broke clean off right above the bushing i guess and it's stuck in the hole there. *i can't get it out. *just the little stub at the end of the arm and i have no idea what to do. *please help and i can sleep peacefully at night.... *:_(

You'll have to pull the trem, follow the instructions in the tech section here. When it out the arm socket will be exposed. Take off the screw and spring (they 'clip' the bar in place) then you can use a nail through the hole where the screw was to push the broken piece out. If your bushings are fresh and tight, just hammer the nail

you can probably do what Rich said without removing the trem. Remove the cover then the small screw on the back of the arm holder (see tech section parts diagrams). Should be no problem. Worst case you'll need a new arm holder if it's stuck or bend the arm holder... glen

You can, it's just tight working in there and easy to pull the trem. He should learn how to do that anyway, so kill both birds.
