Hey gang, I've got a few problems and questions and I hope you can help me sort them out.
A little background I suppose: I had to replace the
neck on my S series because of big cracks near the headstock (pics to come). I got the new neck from fleabay but when I attach it to the body, the screws have a hard time going in especially towards the end. When they're finally all screwed down I'm left with a gap inbetween the body and the neck
When I string the guitar up, the action is real low but gets quite a bit higher as you go up the neck to the higher frets. The neck doesn't seem bowed. Is this due to the gap? Is the gap even significant? if so, is there anything I can do to make the neck flush with the body?
ALSO, I took pictures of the old neck that I replaced. I'm wondering if I would be able to repair something like this myself, and if so, how would I go about doing it?
Thanks so much guys. This guitar has been out of commission for over a year now, and I just want to get it up and running with no problems again!
