Neck pocket gap issue - advice, anybody?

I have an RG1570 and I've just noticed a good sized gap on the bass side of the neck pocket. The neck has enough room that I can manually shift the position of it, slightly.

How should I correct this? I'm assuming that I will be told to shim the neck in some way, but with what and in what way is what I am asking.

If the guitar is still under warranty, of course...I would contact Ibanez.

Warranty is not an option.

I've really found a liking for this guitar and wish to correct this problem in some practical way. ANY advice is appreciated.

If you can move the neck then the screws are loose. The neck pocket is not supposed to be tight, it's supposed to allow room to adjust the string alignment.

Before I do anything with the guitar - is it more likely that the screws are simply not tightened to their fullest extent, or that the screw holes themselves are actually loosened?
