Neck question...

Would a RG750 neck work on an RG550 body? And vice versa?

Given that the neck joints are the same, then yes.

As long as they have the same heel. Early 550 models had the old fender style neck joint while later ones have the AANJ. Pretty sure the 750 model only came in the earlier style.
