My favourite guitar is a 2004 RG 2550ex (with the missed superwizard neck profile).
Action is set "low" as described on Rich excellent ibanezrules site. However the guitar buzzes a bit more than my RGA 121 set the same way.
I have noticed that the angle of the neck with the body seems more important on the 2550.
I think reducing the
neck shim would help improve the situation. With the same action at the 24th fret, a neck with a smaller shim should help to increase slightly distance betwen strings and frets on the first five frets.
Can anyone confirm this opinion or give his experience on this matter?
