Need a second oppinon about trem springs.

Just got this baby of teh bay RG7620BK.

Guy had it strung with 10-46 + 56 for the low B. I switched it over to 9-46+56 for the low B.

Bridge looks like this:

when trem claw looks like this:

Im going to go out on a limb and say that something isnt OK...
Think its a case of New Springs that are of a higher tension... or am i doing something wrong? (It wouldnt supprise me my track record with floating trems is pretty diabolical.)

Cheers for the help.

Is the trem sitting on the studs correctly? Same thing happened to me when the knife edges were not on the studs correctly. I am pretty sure that is your problem

It is.
Pivots exactly like it would when i slacken everything off and get it flush with the body.
No matter how many turns i do of the trem claw screws the bridge only pulls back a little.

When i took all the strings off to replace them the springs DIDNT pull the unit rigt back into the cavity.

mine pivoted too but it still wasn't sitting on the studs right.
If you want you can just give me the guitar since ive always wanted a 7620 and I'll make sure to throw it out *cough* since it is possessed by some ancient Chinese spirit

... But of course

How silly of me. Surely only a man of your expertise could possibly know how to dispose of such an evil instrument. :P

Yeah i always wanted a 7620 too... now i have one :P
The bay bro i picked mine up for about £300... about $600 US i think... give or take.

Fixed, i messed round with spring placement and the knife points. Still not 100% about what caused it but for ease you were right.

Yeah good luck bro, they sound and feel minty. Mines got the one peace maple neck... secks. Just wish i had a single in it. But some time soon im going to put together a Lockness Tribute so ill probably have on in there.
Best of luck.
