Need help setting Origional Edge on Jem555

I modified my Jem555 with the origional Edge. When the tension is low to where i like it, the action is too high from, but if i lower the action the tension increases. Is there anyway to lower the action without increasing the tension? Would streching out the springs help me out? OR could it be the neck is bowwed too much?
Thanx,

I know how to set up an Edge tremolo system, but for some reason can not be set up correctly on my Jem. Did ahy one else run into this problem?

what string gauge do you use?
how many springs do you use?
do you set the trem base parallel to the top?

anyway, that's pretty weird, i mean, a higher action usually gives more tension to the strings.

the way to keep the same amount of string tension is to adjust the pivot/height screws instead of the springs. the truss rod will also affect action as well as string tension, so try to stay away from tweaking that if you want to keep tension the same.
