Need Help with filling in holes in wood

OK, some fool decided to string his right hand guitar left handed, and to help determine the fret location he drilled tiny holes on the side of the neck. Everything's fine, but there's these holes. I want to fillit with some sort of wood putty or something. any suggestions?

Re: Need Help with filling in holes in wood

How tiny are they and what is the surrounding wood? I guess since these holes are on the bottom (for a right hander) this is mostly cosmetic. Check out Woodcrafters (a chain of wood workers stores) for matching filler putty. You might also get lucky and be able to find some very small dowel in the same wood(maple, rosewood or ebony?) and drill and dowel for a less visible repair. Glue and tap (gently) dowel into the hole, saw them almost flush with a Japanese backsaw and sand flush. Maybe a little tungue oil to seal it and give it some sheen to match the surrounding wood.
