I suggest stickers or perhaps an actual neck pickup.

Bondo, sandpaper and black spray paint

On a serious note, black gaffer's tape and something to stuff under it.

Yeah, just because you disconnected the neck pickup doesn't mean you have to take it out of the guitar....

You could also fill the hole with candy corn and use clear scotch tape over the hole to keep them from falling out. Add some color to that black guitar

That would work great for a snack between songs. Possibly a PEZ dispenser

I'd leave the neck pup in place and just wait until you get your new pickguard. Why make more work than is necessary as you will be pulling it soon enough anyway. Just my 1 1/2 cents.

Honestly, I know we all have a dream guitar in mind and I think it's great that you want to customize the 7321.

But, I agree that you should leave the pickup in until you get your pickgaurd.

Re: need suggestions on how to hide a missing neck pickup

the best thing you can do, is get epoxy, black marine epoxy and pour it in 9/10 he way or really close and then score it when its drying or even chunk little peices out of it, it doesn matter, you can also let it dry all the way and then screw a couple small scres in or even drill some holes

then take bondo, and depending on what wood u are using, either mix alot of hardener in it(makes the bondo dry with a brighter sound) or mixx less hardener in it(makes it dry to a muddier sound)...and then if u use less hardener u gotta leave the guitar in the sun or under uv for full cure

then just use a orbital, sand it down and do a paint job and wam bam ur done no problem, we did this on a old ibanexz when we were kids to tunr it into a single humbucker, O.G> froma shop told us how,now i pass the tradition on to you

and dont be fooled, the epoxy and bondo, dont kill the tone

it will still have a dark hard punch to it.....

Get a little jar with a live goldfish in it for the hole. Then glue it in there.

Or a wadded up ball of newspaper. Colored black with marker.
