New to the EDGE Pro's.. need help!

ok i'm restating my question/problem...
i just got the prestige rg2620 w/c has the EDGE pro bridge.. ok so my problem is that when i tune my low E (i tune it to drop D) the G, B, and high E strings go sharp. really sharp. when i finally tune those strings, the low E string goes sharp! its just a very annoying cycle.
now, this has been a problem since i got my guitar a lil over a week ago. yesterday i had the guitar professionally set up (@ guitar center) the guy re strung it (i used .09's but he suggested .10's because of my drop D tuning). clean and oiled the board, adjusted the action, set the intonation and other misc stuff.
when i got the guitar i loosen the locks on the nut and retune it. well, i'm having the same problem.. i tune the low E and the higher strings go sharp..when i tune the high strings the low E goes sharp...
see my dilemma????
what could possibly be the problem??? anyone had the same problem??
pls help!

i have, but after having the guitar professionally set up already im still having the same problems. i don't know if its an intonation problem or bridge height or something... or maybe i was sent a broken guitar.. i informed the tech of this problem before he touched it but i don't think he fixed it. i really hate leaving my guitar in some store and i wanna learn how to set up my own guitar because it has some financial advantages too. this is pretty much the only problem that i am having and i don't know how to fix this. aside from this i can pretty much set up on my own.

Well, you should read it again, and realize when you tune one string down, the others ARE going to go sharp, because of the fact that the bridge is floating. The you loosen the tension on one string, the other strings will make up for it.

I would suggest you tune your low E to a little bit below D, so that when you bring the other strings down to pitch, it should raise you low string back up to true D.

P.S. Eventhough you had the guitar set-up, this is not a problem. It is just the inherent nature of how a floating bridge works.

Ok, thats what i wanted to know.. if its normal or not. i did try tuning my low E to pitch. and leaving the other high string a lil bit flat so when i tighten the locks and tune with the fine tunings i can get close to in tune.
but it still bothers me that when one string is in tune the others go way out sharp. shouldn't the tension(correct me if im wrong) be the same i mean does the spring has something to do with it???

This is 100% normal for all floating trems. You're going to have to stop letting this bother you. I guess it is the reason why a lot of people don't like floating bridges and switch to fixed bridges, or simpler ones to work with.

No Rich made a complete manual of anything you should ever need to know about how to setup and maintain your own guitars

But this sounds like a "noob" floyd problem. When I tune more than a hundreth step, I have to go through the strings again and again. If I am doing any major tuning changes, I overshoot my destination for this reason!

A good way to solve the whole problem of having your edge pro get messed up; Don't drop tune.

If its going sharp when you tighted the locks, then your retaining bar needs to be screwed closer to the headstock
