Newbie

I was directed here by headstock distribution. I made the stupid mistake of trying to restring my GRG270 (all I can afford, so don't lay in to it) and took all the strings off. I forgot how stupidly difficult it was to re tune the strings once you've done this.
I was told you had a step by step guide for this but can only find a step by step guide that tells you to replace one string at a time. This is what I've done since buying the guitar.
I've tried to do some research to learn about the idea of floating trems anyway. Like how the strength of the springs effects the tone and other such things, but can't find anything.
I could tune the strings to each other. But how to do you tune them all up to A440. The bridge, obviously, just moves.
And how do you fiddle about the tone as far as adjustment of strings is concerned.
Sorry, this might feel like a waste of your time but I've tried looking and can't find anything that tells me what I need to know about my guitar.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers,
Joe.
