Oh My Locking Nuts! - Ibanez & Floyd Rose The Same?

I am converting an RG to gold hardware. Will a Floyd Rose nut work on an Ibanez (assuming I get the correct width)? Would the mounting holes match up and would the height be the same?
Also, what tuners will work (tuner on headstock)?
I'm looking for parts that will require no body/neck modifications.
Thanks !

Oh My Locking Nuts!

I've had the same experience changing the locking nut a few times when I had my RG470. First time I replaced it, I had to order a direct replacement for it from allparts. 2 weeks later, I searched this whole area to find a replacement asap. I tried the ones from the Carvin store which had same nut width. By the time I got to install it, the screw placement of the nut was way off from the ones on the neck.
Point is, double check on the exact measurements of your locking nut first before if you find a replacement.
Another note, which i'm sure it's obvious but often misunderstood, American parts are not the same as Japanese parts! :sarcasm:

Yeah, don't mix and match the screws and nuts. *Japanese parts, like those on the RG, are all in metric while American parts are in U.S. units. *Be careful because even though they may seem to screw in at first, you can easily strip them if they are mismatched. *A #3 screw and a 3mm screw are VERY different.

Im pretty sure that Ibanez use the same model six string nut as is available from Stewart Mc Donalds guitar shop supply.

any "left" tuners will do, sperzel, gotoh.....etc etc just check that the shaft will be sufficiently long enough to go through the headstock.

In addition to the width, I suspect the radius on the nuts may be different between Ibanez and other FR nuts. Regardless it probably won't be too noticeable.
