I've had the same experience changing the
locking nut a few times when I had my RG470. First time I replaced it, I had to order a direct replacement for it from allparts. 2 weeks later, I searched this whole area to find a replacement asap. I tried the ones from the Carvin store which had same nut width. By the time I got to install it, the screw placement of the nut was way off from the ones on the neck.
Point is, double check on the exact measurements of your locking nut first before if you find a replacement.
Another note, which i'm sure it's obvious but often misunderstood, American parts are not the same as Japanese parts! :sarcasm:
