Ordering a Neck from Ibanez ?

Does anyone know if can order a Wizard I neck from Ibanez Canada since I'm in Canada. And what do I have to do if they can get one ?

And also, the RG350DX that needs the neck had a Wizard II, so will it fit directly ? I saw that the RG prestige all have Wizard 1 neck BUT they have 58 mm at last fret and the Wizard II got 56 mm... So will it fit anyway ? (forget about the radius and all that stuff the guitar is being pimped so I put all new hardware)

you can't just order a neck from Ibanez, you have to send them an original neck with a valid serial # for you to be able to buy another neck.

you're best bet would be to buy a neck from Warmoth or something and have it shaped to a Wizard spec

Another guy on here was able to order one through a dealer as long as he had a serial number for his UV...it was posted here several months ago, probably back in January or something...

I got one from Ibanez, I never had an original just copied a serial number off the bay got my local shop to order it, eight weeks later voila!

It was to go on an original body though, not making a semi chibanez,

Mind you very expensive.

£275 which with the current rate is $550 US

Ok so let's say my RG 1520 that has the wizard 1 neck is broken ( not true but anyway i want the neck ) I got the serial on it so I can order one with my serial ? and will it fit ? 56 mm versus 58 mm

I think you'll be lucky, I think I was. You could try depends how friendly you are with your local Ibi dealer. If they hint that your guitar neck is broke, they may be able to get one. Depends on the rules Ibanez have passed down to their distributors, which in turn they pass to their stockists.

Does the trade-in have to be like-for-like? For example, if I had a broken Jem 555 neck (etc.), could I swap it for a new Jem VBK neck if I was willing to pay the 500 dollars? That would be a good trade, and Ibanez would still get their 500 dollars. Just an example....

Try Rich for a neck it'll be cheaper and less hassle plus what he lists he should have in stock!

If anything, update it but don't take it down unless you are moving what you still have over to your parts page, please. I like to be able to browse that page and dream up new projects. You still get new necks from time to time don't you Rich?
