Ok so I LOVE my RG550, and I love the tuning stability and overall feel of the Original Edge trem, but the thing is...I keep hitting the whammy bar when I speed pick. It must not be a problem for too many other people, but for me, I love the tone I get by
palm muting and picking in the spot that I do, but the bar just flat out gets in my way. I can take the bar off and all is fine and dandy, but then I can't use the trem! Ahh!
Does anyone else have this problem, if so, is there anything I can do to adjust how high the bar sits? Also are there places I can pick to get the same tones while still being able to palm mute easily?
I'm going for that whole Petrucci speed picking on
neck pickup and picking placement being right over the middle pickup sound. Thanks guys!
