Original Edge trem angle

I'm got an old 93' RG 550, and I'm going to be blocking the trem. Since the old Edge trem looks really different in shape compaired to a lo-pro or a typical generic floyd, I'm not exactly sure what the angle should be when I block it. With the lo-pro or a generic floyd the angle should be parallel to the body. With the original Edge trem, the flat part is sort of triangular in shape and putting the trem parallel to the body does not seem to look correct.

Does anyone have a picture of the side of the old Edge trem that is set up correctly?

The knife edge, which you can see sticking out of the sides of the trem body, should be parallel to the body of the guitar.

as a note, the lo-pro angle shouldn't actually be level to the body. the knife edge is what should be level. In the picture above for example, the trem is set too low in the body.

Actually I meant to say "LO-TRS" rather then "Lo-pro". My RG570 has this one, and other then where the locking screws are, it looks like any ordinary Floyd copy. I know those are parallel, as my guitar repair guy made the trem block for that guitar.

Here you go:

"OFR / TRS TYPE

On the Floyd Rose type trem with a flat baseplate the knife edges are part of the baseplate itself. On a flat top guitar the baseplate will be parallel to the top as shown below."

Taken from ibanez rules.

Re: Original Edge trem angle

The original Edge's have a small little rectangular stamp on the outer edges right by the knife edge/pivot point.
Since the top edge of the trem angles upward as moves to the rear of the trem and the lower edge is usually under the surface of the body and difficult to see, I use the stamp to see if its level with the body.
Its small, but it works well for me.
Then I also grab the whammy bar and see how it feels.
