paint idea - need help.

I'm playing around with some idea to paint my guitar in some nice black finish...I'm thinking of something that looks a bit like a starlit sky, maybe some pearlescent paint, dunnow if there are pearlescent paints that change color from blackish to blueish.
on top of the black paint i'd like to add some pattern (haven't decided on what pattern, maybe a swirl?) in glow in the dark paint.

anyhow, the problem is that I have no experience with this. Is what I want possible to achieve? if so, where can I search for the paint I need, what type does it need to be, and so on...

I'm from Belgium, so I don't know in what extent I can get any branded products, so i think it'll be more useful to me to know what specs the paint needs to have, than to get any brand names.

My guitar body is currently a matte gray finish (one of the stock finishes on a S520EX). Will I need to strip of that finish first, or should I use it as a base coating?

I'm probably gonna get a lot of "use the search button" right now. But I think I would have to assemble a lot of info from multiple threads to get a full answer to my questions then. Anyhow, my apologies for this.

Re: paint idea - need help.

You should be able to use the existing finish. In fact you may be able to scuff it and then flake it and bury in clear.
