Painted hardware - who can do it?? where can i buy it

This has probably been brought up before, does anyone know where/if i can get my tuners/edge/locknuts/straplocks painted? I may be crazy but id like to strip them all all and paint them green. I know doing it myself would look like crap and flake and peel. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Painted hardware

You may want to consider getting your hardware powder-coated rather than painted. Paint will most certainly crack, peel or otherwise wear off a metal surface very quickly, and will look like crap.

Powder coating is basically a baked-on enamel that's much more durable than paint. I don't know much about the process beyond that, but it's apparently how Ibanez does the "Powder Cosmo" and "Powder White" finishes, and it's used on automotive wheels as well.

Look in your local yellow pages to find shops that do custom work on automotive wheels, etc. They may have electroplating and/or powder coating facilities.
