Paul Gilbert Violin tribute guitarBody

I wanted to show off the completed PGM Violin body

I always wanted one of these, but never was able to find a production model.

So I decided to build one!

Please let me know what you think. this project was MUCH harder than you might think...The carved top & the binding were the hardest parts...but I wanted to make it as close to Paul's as I could

Sorry for the size of the PIX...but let me know what you think

Thanks

CMC

thanks for the feedback.

I can do an AANJ, no problem, but I wanted to use an old Warmoth neck that I had on this one

Funny you say that....I am thinking of doing it in "Brushed Chrome" with blue f-holes & blue powdercoated hardware

I amtrying to decide if I want to use a ebony fingerboard or Pau Ferro

Both with NO fret dots

I am leaning toward Ebony

IMHO
I'd go for pau ferro. It's more strong and has nice grains and better sound quality (more brilhant and consistent than ebony).
But it's just MY OPINION, since im using BRAZILIAN PAU FERRO on my guitar,
not the Indian pau ferro, if you know what i mean...
