Yes, I will be making available PGM style bodies here shortly.

Here are some pics of the work in progress...keep in mind PROTOTYPE ;-)

That looks great!

Since you're going with the natural finish....how about INLAID f holes instead of painted.....in a darker wood they would look great!

An carved burl maple (or figured walnut) top in a vintage violin finish would look sweet with routed and stained f-holes. And would it hurt to put a volume knob in the front hole and a tone knob in the rear? The control layout has always turned me off PGMs.

Darren, then it wouldn't be a PGM ;-)

That's what I REALLY like about the PGM...1 volume out of the way. I can put the controls anyway someone wants....this particular one is just a prototype 7, though.

I am waiting for a PGM700 (violin shape) to make one. I think your Vintage Violin would look really good on that! I love exotic woods, too....the posibilities are endless!

Alden...THANX! You're too cool ;-)

Darren, that finish would be HOT.

So Eddie, not to change the subject, but how's that JS-7 bodyshape proto coming? I'm graduating and getting a real job within the year, and i was sorta hoping to celebrate with one of those with the first real paycheck i get... Of course, if you need someone to help with the prototype testing, id be more than willing to sacrifice my time and abilities...

I think in the next couple of weeks I will make a prototype JS style body. I know you're itching.

As soon as you start making the necks to match,(reverse headstock and all) I'll be in line to get one! Nice work Eddie!
What about an F-hole shaped control cavity like my PGM500 had?

Bucketbot!! 666 POSTS!!

Well, I was thinking about the f-hole shaped cavity, but most PGM's have the pistol shaped.

Oh well, it's gone now. Now it's 667, the neighbor of the beast!

Anyway, if I ever get one, I'll see if you can work up the f-hole shaped control cavity. What do you think the cost on one of these will be?

hey eddie, your work is really good I wish someday I can have all the equipment to build custom IBZ bodies right here in my home country(you know, it wouldn't be to dificult finding rosewood here for fingerboards, bodies or veneers :P ), not for comercial use, but probably as a hobby. What equipment do you use?
I have ideas of building a PGM with a very light ivory like wood top(or maybe the whole body) and redish wood inlayed f-holes and Ibanez logo on headstock with a nice clear satin finish. Thats my dream custom PGM. But of course there are JEMs, RGs, JSs, RBMs, and many more in my dreams
btw, I think the pistol cavity looks better

I think it'd be cool to build a PGM with hollow chambers and real functional f-holes.

Then again, i'd rather have a JS-7. (ahem)
