pgm30: lo-trs to edge pro (I or II)

so my trs on my pgm30 is old and starting to rust and i have cash to spend! i know that original floyd and gotoh would fit in without doing mods. but has anyone tried to changed from a lo-trs to edge pro? know any directions to go to find measurements? i know that the lo pro edge and stuff won't directly go in.. plus the edge pro looks sweet.. in my opinion

ps. im new to types of bridge but i did search around by found zilch.

I think you'll probably find that if you put on an Edge Pro I or II it wont intonate correctly. I'd go with the Gotoh double locking trem. I've had one on my current RG470 for a while and it's making it's move to my new almost complete custom RG that my Dad and I are building and it's a sweet trem. Definitely worthwhile, and no stuffing around to install like you would with the Edge Pro trems.

I would say put in a lo pro edge, you'll still need to some routing but I think will be easier then the edge pro swap.

OFR looks ugly. LOL. j/k. but ya i mean my pink pgm30 is sweet so i mean.. might as well make it perfect u know. plus i got enough cash only to upgrade. but gotoh seems like a nice option and the floyd rose pro.

The OFR looks ugly in an Ibanez but otherwise it looks fine especially in a Suhr .

Re: pgm30: lo-trs to edge pro (I or II)

You forgot the NOT?

It wont intonate properly because of the resulting "length" of the strings. The position of the saddles on an EP are so different from a TRS/OFR that you'll likely have some difficulty in that area. I think that's what he meant.

Yeah what he said!

You'll have a lot of difficulty tuning your axe properly if you just drop it in.

Yeap it doesn't look as solid as edge pro but at least I don't have to go through some certain mod

Yeah - this is NOT true.
The problem won't be intonation but not having big enough route to drop it in.
Also even if the top fits the Edge Pro has a very chunky trem block that would limit your trem movement very much.
Intonation is not and never was the problem.
