Pick Up Repair - Screw holes are too big

I have 2 pickups that were modified for direct mount. The adjustment screw holes were drilled out and I need to know of a way to fill these so I may re-drill the hole to accomodate a pick guard mount. I was thinking solder or epoxy, but any suggestions will do.

NOTE: The body is not designed for direct mount pick ups and it would be easier to repair the pups than mod the body..

Thanks

Maybe you could superglue or better, epoxy, a nut on the bottom side of the pup bracket.

You could use some JB Weld which you should be able to pick up at almost any automotive parts store.

Or at a last resort you could install a rivit and drill and thread it but I wouldn't recommend doing this...

Those would be the pickups I sent you Jimm right? *That wasn't my beautiful artwork on those pickups. *Numbskull before me done it.

ummmm, how about a small plate epoxied on top of the hole, then re-tapped?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but could you not replace the plates? (assuming you can get your hands on an exact fit)

I don't think a fill would stand up to a re-drill.

Maybe a fill would be O.K if it was exact and no adjustment was required.
