Pickup problem?

Hi guys,

I have an Epiphone Les Paul I enjoy digging out from time to time, but recently I've found that the bridge pickup seems to become really weak sounding sometimes, the volume and life is just totally sucked from it. Then other times it is totally fine. I've checked the wiring and nothing seems suspect, I've looked at the input which seems to be fine, so maybe a pickup problem? They're just stock Epiphone humbuckers. I was wondering if anyone has encounted a problem like this before, and if so is there any way to fix it? Or should I just get some new pups in there?

Thanks =)
Stu

Re: Pickup problem?

Are you running through a pedal? Sometimes I forget to pull the cables out of my TS9 and when the battery gets low then my guitar sounds really weak.

Try re-wiring everything.

Maybe the pickup is dying?
