I recently changed the pickups in my Ibanez RG1570 and there are some serious volume differences between all 3.
I put a pair of Breeds in, and a Pro Track single coil..
Looking at the outputs of each pickup and the volume change shouldn't be nearly as drastic as it is.
The Bridge Breed's output is rated at 356. The volume sounds a little quiet but not too bad.
The Pro Track is rated at 275, and it's super quiet.
The Breed Neck is rated at 325, and it's by far the loudest, being significantly louder than the Bridge. It also breaks up a lot quicker.
From what I understand the
Neck pickup is supposed to be medium output and the bridge is high, so it's somewhat confusing as to why the neck would not only be significantly louder, but also break up faster.
The
Bridge pickup is also mounted a fair bit higher than the bridge.
I also replaced the switch so all 5 positions would be hum-canceling
Any ideas?
