Pics of broken Ibanez neck?

Hey guys, I have a somewhat odd request, but does anyone have pics of a broken Ibanez neck? Pics of an broken UV777 neck would be ideal, but any will work. Thanks!

Re: Pics of broken Ibanez neck?

Hell I'm glad my UV777 didn't arrive like that. It came in a M-100C case or other?
My 2:90 amp arrived with a broken valve but at least I could repair that - albeit at my own expense of £220 to fit 8 valves and get them matched biased. Long story - I got one replaced but another had fallen out which didn't have the plastic one-way only plug. So I fitted it in back the wrong way, blew my amp up and melted some components!
Surely this wasn't in a case then.

BTW I found the mirror pickguard too slippy to support my pinky for my lead-playing. It became annoying to keep it clean. I replaced it with a white pearl one and matching truss-rod cover. It really make it much classier! I also changed the bridge pickup to the evolution and wow, this brought out the serperate of notes so much better! I use a backstop on my Jem7v but the 7th string adds more stability already. Pity the D'addario 7 pack strings dont come as I like them - only as 9-42+54. I get single extras like 9.5-44+56 but I now have tried EXP9-42+56 and this after 2 weeks of playing does feel exactly the same. They just take longer to properly stretch to their elastic limit.

never seen an Ibanez broken neck in years working on Ibanez guitars (while seen many cracked between the nut locking screws), despite what they say about the Wizard "weakness"...

sorry about your UV, man...

Re: Pics of broken Ibanez neck?

Thanks for the condolences, fellas.

It's really not the end of the world. If you'll notice, the guitar's got no electronics. I bought this guitar cheap because I was planning on putting the chrome hardware on my UV7PWH. I *was* thinking the UV777BK would make a pretty cool backup guitar with cosmo hardware, but instead, I got $500 worth of hardware and scrap wood.

I've repaired a couple. I had a PGM and an RG550 that both had cracked right along the scarf joint. Easy fix, really. This one I may try to glue back together, but it's iffy, given that the headstock broke off right where the truss rod is.

Le sigh.

Re: Pics of broken Ibanez neck?

can you see if the truss rod is a dual acting, dual rod, or single rod? Just curious cause I've been searching around for info on ibanez truss rods. Condolences for that. How the heck must they have stomped on it for that to have broken so completely!
