Possible Lo-TRS replacement?

Digging around for something else, I came across this, and it looks to be a nice replacement for TRS users.

The exact dimensions are not listed, but it is all steel and for a pretty good price.

Anyway, I saw it and thought others might be interested.

Cool! But still whatever they do with it, use titanium or steel or etc if adamantium if possible fastloading trem will never hold any strings in tune

Re: Possible Lo-TRS replacement?

It looks convincing because it's built out of quality material, and the price is great - but with no locking saddles I truly wonder if it will stay in tune with abuse...

But for $60 I'm just so tempted...but I don't want to waste my money if it stays in tune just as well as the Edge III in one my guitars - good but not perfect.

If that kind of quality was to be had at $60 with locking saddles and it got great reviews - I would probably order one right now.

Me too, but if it provided OFR tuning stability I'd live with them for the price...

I can't find any reviews though!!

If the baseplates were indeed hardened steel you could always replace the saddles with double locking ones couldn't you? Might end up being cheaper than buying an OFR/Schaller/Gotoh this way.

Re: Possible Lo-TRS replacement?

For what it is worth, I have the Strat Deluxe tremolo from them, and it is all steel and high quality. I have no idea who is making them for that site, but the one I have is nice and gets good reviews on the fender site.

I figure it has to be better than a TRS and you call sell a TRS on the bay for $30-$50.

I would get some exact dimensions though.

I just read it again and did anyone notice you even get a new lock nut for that price?

Re: Possible Lo-TRS replacement?

I know - that's a sweet deal...

And I'm sure your Strat trem is great - but of course Floyd Rose's in working order have higher expectations tuning stability wise then the average 2 point strat trem...that's the only thing that worries me.

I don't know if I'd bother to get the exact specifications if it'll fit in Gotoh/OFR spacing - like the Edge III/Lo TRS have already been shown to do...

I'm very tempted but I don't want to feel like I've wasted $60 if I should have gone with a Gotoh if it doesn't hold tuning any better than my Edge III...

Re: Possible Lo-TRS replacement?

Well if you don't like it, you can always send it back or toss it on the bay. [shrug]

Personally I would just get an OFR, but that is 3 times the price.
