prestige pull up routes

i was just wondering, is it a common thing for people to increase the size of the routing behind the trem on the top of the guitar on RG's or S's? like the lions claw thing in a jem.

i set up my rg2550z properly, and i moved the intonation way back to set it how it should be, and now i can't pull up as far. it's no biggie, i can still pull up a big way, just not as much as before, fretted notes fret out before the trem goes as far up as possible.

i was just wondering, do many people expand that back route a bit? the bit that's covered by a small bit of felt, at least on 2008 prestiges.

Re: prestige pull up routes

I'd try shimming the neck before taking some wood out of the guitar.
