Pro Line PL2550 String Alignment & Pickup Ring Questions

I just picked up a really sweet Pro Line PL2550 Neck Through guitar from 1986!
Other than the Hello Kitty pink color (Cherry Ice), I really like the guitar.
I have a couple of issues with it though, that are hopefully easy to resolve.

1. The high E string is too close to the edge of the fretboard and any note that I try to play above the 6th fret just falls off the edge of the neck.
- I tried adjusting the position of the locking nut, but that did not help at all.
- The tremolo fits very tightly on the studs, so it cannot move over.
- How can I fix this? Should I loosen the saddles and move them toward the Low E side of the fretboard?

2. Where can I find mounting rings for the pickups that would allow me (with some minor routing) to use different pickups?
- The stock pickups are very weak and I want to use some Hot Rails pups that I have laying around.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a lot of work if the problem is twisted neck- fretboard change or neck levelling.

There is no pic so we can't see how severe is the misalignment.
But it has an edge tremolo which has the curved knife edge that you can adjust with long nose pliers.You may only have a few mm of adjustment before the post(s) can interfere with trem movement.

Just grab the inside of the curved knife edge and push it to the left.This will re position the whole trem to the right which would correct the alignment.

If this is not enough.The only other option is to fill (dowel) the tremolo post holes with hardwood and drill new ones-If it's that severe. I do the first trick for some of my edge equipped guitars with similar problems.But mostly, since all I have are bolt on Ibbys I remedy that by re tightening the bolts as I align the neck (slight tapping force) with slack strings - D and G strings slightly taut for eyeballing center line.

It looks like the neck may curve inward slightly along the treble side. Hard to tell with no real light, it's still dark here.
