Problem about setting String Height of my PGM

My PGM90HAM (fixed bridge) is buzzing at 1x fret and above

How should I set the string height?(1-6 string)
How to measure?(which fret, measure from the board or from the fret?measure to the top or bottom of the string?)
Do I need to set all 6 strings the same height?

Thanks for helping me

Cow,
* * * Here are some very general figures to use as a rule of thumb. Using a machinist's rule.... Low E- From the top of the 12th fret to the bottom of the Low E string, set at 3/32". * High E- From the top of the 12th fret to the bottom of the High E string, set at 2/32" (or 1/16" ).

* * * * * * You can then make any adjustments from there to best suit your personal taste ( I like mine a bit lower than this). Also, be sure that your neck has a bit of relief in it before you adjust string height. A neck with absolutely no relief in it may be inclined to buzz down by the nut.

Eyeball it. Those are actually the measurements I use at the 24th not 12th fret. Neck relief is the first thing you want to do though. Unless the nut grooves have worn down and needs to be replaced or built back up, the relief is all you'll need.

Problem about setting String Height of my PGM

Rich~everyone said that ur setup is so great

could you teach me how should I adjust my string height?(well...Low E 3/32"....High E 2/32"....how about other strings?)

and also pickup height?(It seems that my PGM's position is different from my friend's JEM,the pickups of the PGM put closer then a JEM?)

Thanks

For string height you have 2 allen screws on each side of each saddle, raise or lower in unison to keep the saddle level. Pickup height is just the screw used to screw the p/u to the body, clockwise to lower, counterclockwise to raise.

If you're not comfortable eyeballing it you can just buy a small precision ruler from any hardware store. They have measurements in 16th's of an inch and mm's and they start right at the beginning of the ruler.

Cheers
Steve

Those are the figures (at the 12th fret position) I got from Ritchie Fliegler's 'The Complete Guide to Guitar and Amp Maintenance'. As I mentioned, I like my action a bit lower than those figures. I haven't checked to see what my preferred string height happens to be at the 24th fret.
