Problems w/G-string on UV777PBK

I'm having an issue with my G string, namely that when I'm Vai-like on the trem, the G string will go horribly flat (5 cents or so). If I just keep using the fine-tuners to get it back in tune, eventually I've got the G-string fine-tuner bottomed out, and the rest in their usual positions.

The weird thing is, you'd think the saddle was slipping, but it's not, as intonation is fine once I've retuned. Anyone have any ideas? The problem persists after strings changes, so it's not the strings.

Check the height on the string retaining bar. Each string should be sitting at the very bottom of them "V" groove as it exits the locking nut. The string retaining bar helps the strings push down so you can have that angle from the locking nut to the retaining bar to the tuning keys. Also, make sure you stretch that string thoroughly.

Make sure that the string lock tabs(caps) on the nut are in the right positions. If you get the order wrong, the indentation in the bottom can be too big to grip the string.
