Just picked up an 87
550dy that is just about mint minus the
maple fretboard. I cleaned it up best I could with steel wool and paper. I did this lightly without taking any wood off the board and it came out pretty clean. I want to put a finish of some sort to keep this board clean and easy to clean without having to use any of the above. I know this topic has been discussed before, but it seems theres no definitive answer to what is best. I would rather know what someone has used and has worked rather than hearing about what to try.
