Proud owner of a S470, a few questions.

Hi all,

first post here, I've searched but haven't found the answers I'm after. Apologies if I'm repeating anything.

I recently took delivery of a S470, over all I'm very pleased with it but I have a few questions. This is the first floating trem instrument I've had so it's a little bit of unfamiliar territory.

I've read and re-read the manual and just don't get the instructions for adjusting the spring tension. Is it simply a case of balancing the trem until it's level and the trem block is contacting the stop rod? am I missing something or thinking it's more complex that it really is.

I'm a little disappointed that the low E string doesn't stay in tune, I have to retune it quite often, much more so that the other strings. I've given it a bloody good stretching but it still hasn't settled in, oh and I've checked that it's properly locked in place at the nut. Any thoughts as to a root cause.

Thanks in advance,

Martin
