Pulling the Double Edge

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here we go:

Is it possible to take a double edge out of the guitar body, if yes, is it as simple as removing a regular (Lo-Pro)Edge?

Cause I might get an old S2020X, and I'm really used to removing the trem with strings attached for guitar cleaning etc.

Another question is, how bad will I be screwed, if, for example, a saddle breaks? Is it possible for a human being with a soldering iron to replace it?

don't remove it unless you have good reason. you must be alot more careful w/ the wires attached. replacement parts thru ibanez dealer should be possible... glen

It will only pull out about an inch, just enough to change studs, pull on it too hard and you'll break one of the 6 fine wires attached to it, not recomended
