Background: Several months ago I purchased an RG620 (comes with floating trem that has a
piezo system). It had been modified to work with EMG's, and thus it had a custom chipset/mixer/preamp. I got the original chipset from the seller (I didn't want to use EMG's) and had passive pickups installed.
Unfortunately, the original chipset didn't work. The guitar was sent to an authorized Ibanez repair shop, but they could not fix the chipset and they informed me that they can't get a hold of a replacement because Ibanez no longer makes any.
I found what I believe is a replacement, but I want to be sure before I put down the money. I am certain the mods would ban me for posting a direct link, so let me lay down simple instructions: Go to the-auction-site-that-must-not-be-named, and type booheung in the search. You will see the only two items that I've been looking at.
The sellers claims it will work with the L.R.Baggs piezo. Now, the Ibanez piezo in the 620 has saddles made by L.R.Baggs (as I understand it), but the rest of the trem is Ibanez.
Would this item from the-auction-site-that-must-not-be-named work in my guitar? I'm leaning on your expertise here, Jemsite community. Hope you come through
