question about neck bow, and bending strings.

hey guys, I'm the proud owner of a 7vwh, and had a question. I like the action of my guitar, however, I'd like to be able to bend strings a bit easier for the *PERFECT* feel.

I was wondering how to go about modifying the guitar to achieve this. I already use 9-42 guage strings, I won't change those, I'm happy with them. I was wondering If adjusting the bow of the neck might help this a bit? perhaps straightening the bow a bit?

i'd rather smoothen out frets surface with super-fine steel wool: silky-smooth feel and perfect-tune bendings are guaranteed.

Neck bow is for cleaning up buzz more than anything, if it has an effect on the feel of bending I've never noticed. The 9's should be loose enough as it is, but, negative trem angle will make it feel stiffer, so will those 47mm springs if it happens to have those. For a much looser feel you can go to 2 springs in arrow formation.

rich, does putting 2 springs as opposed to 3 (or 3 as opposed to 4) allow the unplayed strings to stay in tune better when your doing bends?

I mean, I don't have a problem putting 2, but without a backstop or tremsetter, will that cause the other strings to go even more out of tune than they normally do when you bend notes.?

They will go flat faster/further, that's why it's easier to bend the string

yuck, thats the thing I hate most about floating bridges....stuff that makes it easier to play makes the bridge harder to cope with.
