Question for Elixir strings users

Guys, are all 6 strings coated? or just the wound ones?

Im asking cause my unwound strings always die sooner, becoming dark and crappy feeling, so, when i heard about Elixirs i thought "thats it!"...

Now, pricey as they are around here, i dont wanna spend the dough if the unwounds will die just as often as regular strings... :/

Make sure you get the "anti-rust" nanoweb ones. They do have caoting on all strings. The older Nanowebs & Polywebs only have coatings on the wound strings.

They have "Anti Rust" in a silver star on the top left corner of the packet. The unwound strings last for ages. I've had my current set on for a bout 6 weeks and they still feel and sound great

It used to be that only the wound ones were coated. Now they do something to the plains as well, but it's not the same coating. IMO they don't last as long as the wound ones.

Really, they're a "love 'em or hate 'em" thing, so you have to blow the money once and find out.

Cool... i was ready to give them a shot from a tone / feel point of view, i was a lil concerned cause it was durability im after, so...

Ill post back when i get them
