Radio interference - HELP!

Got a problem, don't really know what to do about it. I just moved to a college town, and I live close to the campus radio station. Their signal is bleeding heavily into my amps (Ampeg R-12R and a cheap Crate G-15R), my surround sound system, and my radio. No matter what, I can always hear the station in the background and, in the case of my amps, that's pretty much ALL I can hear. I've spoken with station management and they can't seem to come up with an answer. I've spoken with people in the community who've said that this is an ongoing problem. I've spoken with the general manager of my old campus station and he thinks that the people at this college station should have a filter on their tower to prevent this. I'm about ready to call the FCC. The people at the campus station with whom I have spoken, have told me that I could buy filters for MY equipment. That's bull crap as far as I'm concerned, but, if there is no other immediate solution, do you guys know where I might go to get said filters? Someone suggested Radio Shack or Best Buy, but I've had no luck. Help! I can't play my friggin' guitars because I can't turn my amps on without hearing this damn college station!!!

That's total crap on the stations part. You could have them looked into for noise pollution which can even lead to having them shut down. And while that may seem excessive that kind of corporate bull-**** pisses me right off. Those bastards have a responsibility to the community to control how they affect those around them and if they aren't willing to do anything about it you get the law to FORCE them to!

RadioOperatorGuide

Go there and scroll down a bit about interference. Maybe get that station manager to read it.

I''d say call the FCC on them. If this has been an ongoing problem, it should get resolved.

Definately call the FCC. They should have supressors stopping that sort of thing.

It sounds like they are cheap pri*ks, and couldn't give a sh*t about the problems they are causing.

Rock on!
